Nelson Hysa began his boxing career in 2000 at the first cadet championship in Pogradec, Albania, and quickly established himself as one of the most decorated amateurs in his nation's history — including a landmark European medal in 2003.
A 23-time absolute champion of Albania and multiple winner of Balkan and world tournaments, Hysa transitioned to professional boxing in 2022. He is the only Albanian boxer to become a European Champion in the professional ranks, carrying WBO heavyweight prestige into every Cuka Boxing appearance.
